Prime Minister Milo Đukanović visited Bijelo Polje today and spoke with Mayor Aleksandar Žurić. They were optimistic about implementation of infrastructural projects and investments that will decrease the level of unemployment.
Đukanović said that Bijelo Polje is an example of development in the North of Montenegro.
“I will remind you that only a few years ago we spoke of Bijelo Polje as of the center of northern region. Today we can see this vision mostly accomplished, and all that is happening is going in that direction”, he said.
Prime Minister is pleased with accomplishments of local administration.
“I want to congratulate on what was done in the infrastructure of the city. Plans are realized, and more in the making. Those are projects of infrastructure, water management, environment protection and business development”, Đukanović said.
He said that it is important there are now new job opportunities in Bijelo Polje.
“In 2015 we have seen an increase of employment here in Bijelo Polje. This trend is continuing, but the most important thing is that we have three projects ready to be implemented. We can expect to see that by the end of this year, and these projects will bring a few hundred new employment opportunities in Bijelo POlje. It is a project being done by Franca company, in cooperation with partners from Lombardia. Also, a project by Pelengić company and Milkraft project in Vraneška valley”, Prime Minister said, adding that the predictions are optimistic in terms of tourism on Bjelasica as well.
