Poland to continue supporting Montenegro in its EU and NATO integration

Montenegro has accomplished great results in fulfilling its tasks with EU and NATO, and it can count on full support of Poland, it was said during a meeting of State Secretary for EU integration Aleksandar Andrija Pejović and ambassador of Poland in Montenegro Irena Tatažinjska.

Poland’s ambassador congratulated opening of two new chapters and expressed hope that Montenegro’s great dynamic continues on the way to EU and NATO.

“Montenegro will have strong support from Poland, and it will continue to share knowledge and experience in order to help Montenegro achieve membership faster”, it was said in MVPEI.

They discussed upcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw and Montenegro’s progress towards the Alliance.

Ambassador Tatažinjska said that Poland is ready to help Montenegro, and that the ratification is expected to happen shortly in Poland’s Parliament.

She said that Montenegro’s membership will be as beneficial to the Alliance as it is to the country.

“Membership in NATO will initiate faster development of Montenegro and secure peace and stability in the region”, she said.

Pejović expressed satisfaction with two countries’ bilateral relations, and thanked Poland for its support to Montenegro.

He spoke to ambassador about main activities Montenegro is planning to implement by the end of 2016, and said he believes that the good results will continue in the following period, allowing Montenegro to open more negotiation chapters.

When it comes to joining NATO, Pejović said that it is very significant that Montenegrin delegation in Warsaw will be lead by Prime MInister Milo Đukanović, and that this will be mark the first time Montenegro takes part in a NATO Summit.
