Poland will seek ratification of Protocol of Accession of Montenegro to the Alliance as soon as possible, Minister of Foreign Affairs of that country Witold Waszczykowski, said.
He congratulated the tenth anniversary of Montenegro’s independence as well as the path to NATO Alliance.
“The path of Montenegro’s accession to NATO is seen as a pre path that will be followed by the European Union (EU) and in this path, we will help Montenegro as we can, sharing our experience as well as technical assistance,” Waszczykowski said at a press conference.
He said that the Polish aim is to deepen regional cooperation, and for this reason he visited countries in the region, and Montenegro was among the first.
Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister, Petar Ivanovic assessed that the cooperation between the two countries, at the political level, was very good and stated that there was a strong will to intensify it in the fields of economy, science, education and culture.
He said that he expected Poland ratification of Protocol on Montenegro’s accession to the Alliance as soon as possible.
