Chinese Premier Li Keqiang announced that he could visit Montenegro on its celebration of the tenth anniversary of independence. He announced it to Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic during a meeting in Beijing. Djukanovic announced projects that Montenegro will offer to Chinese investors, including the construction of the Port of Bar and the exploitation of hydro potential of our country.
The prime minister with the other heads of government of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe had a meeting with the Chinese President, Xi Jinping.
Although most populous country in the world, China, as Keqiang said, see a true friend in a small country with big ambitions.
“That’s why we are going to open a department for the Montenegrin language at Peking University in the near future,” Keqiang said.
He reminded that Montenegro implemented the project of the century , highway Bar-Boljare, with Chinese companies.
Djukanovic said he hopes that this is just the beginning of fruitful cooperation.
He added that there is great interest of Chinese companies to develop the capacity of the Port of Bar.
Also, according to him, as a new opportunity for cooperation with Chinese partners opens up the filed of energy.
“Water resources of Montenegro are great, but little exploited,” Djukanovic concluded.
