On April 12th in New York a race for the Secretary General of United Nations will begin. The candidates will present their programs and try to win the position of the chief world diplomat. The candidate of Montenegro’s Government Igor Lukšić will participate in the informal dialogue of UN General Assembly, during which he will present his program and vision of future activities and development of the UN system, Ambassador Milorad Šćepanović said to Pobjeda. He is campaign coordinator for Montenegrin candidate.
On Tuesday, Lukšić will officially present his program for the first time, to 193 member states of UN and General Assembly.
“The program of our candidate is innovative and it is on the line of improving and reforming UN’s system, so the efficiency on the field would be stronger. He would ensure further efforts in establishing lasting peace and security by giving priority to political solutions and strengthening capacities for prevention and mediation, as tools of acting in UN that are not valorized enough”, Šćepanović underlined.
