BELGRADE – Serbia’s Police Chief Milorad Veljovic and his Montenegrin counterpart Slavko Stojanovic signed Monday a protocol of cooperation during the tourist season 2015.
The protocol envisages deployment of Serbian policemen to Montenegro during the summer, when they will patrol jointly with Montenegrin colleagues, the Serbian Ministry of Interior issued in a statement.
Serbia’s police officers will be stationed in Budva, Bar and Herceg Novi from July 1 to September 1, and this traditional model of cooperation, implemented since 2011, has proved to be very efficient, as it produced concrete results in fighting organized and all other forms of crime.
This way, a more intensive international cooperation is established, as well as exchange of experience and best practice. The Serbian police will also sign similar protocols with Croatian and Macedonian police, the statement reads.
