The government did not accept the interior minister Goran Danilovic’s proposal to dismiss the head of Police Directorate Slavko Stojanovic, the government’s public relations department stated.
At today’s cabinet meeting, the government approved the conclusion of the Human Resources and Administration Commission, according to which “the proposal does not contain any of the statutory grounds for dismissal”.
The deputy prime minister Milorad Vujovic and ministers Goran Danilovic, Budimir Mugosa and Boris Maric voted against the adoption of this conclusion, whereas minister Rasko Konjevic abstained from voting.
Danilovic had earlier required the dismissal of part of the Police Directorate managing officials including Stojanovic, due to the murder of convict Dalibor Djuric.
