Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met today in Belgrade with the President of the Government of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.
During discussion at the third meeting of the Heads of Governments of the People’s Republic of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, it was estimated that Montenegro and the People’s Republic of China have very good bilateral relations based on friendship which is strengthened by the promising economic cooperation.
“An intensive political dialogue at the highest level gave an additional impulse to the concretization of economic cooperation primarily through the construction project of the priority part of motorway Bar-Boljare. Both sides expressed their beliefe that the implementation of the most important project in the history of Montenegro will be successful”, it was announced form the Montenegrin Government.
Prime Minister Li said that “the Government of the People’s Republic of China strongly supported the partnership between the two countries” and expressed his expectation that the extraordinary potential of Montenegro would be the opportunity for continued cooperation in other areas.
“China believes that Montenegro has a great and very important position and that we can strengthen cooperation in many areas,” said at a meeting the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic stressed the importance of the initiative of Republic of China in terms of support to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
They agreed that the priorities are cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, modernization of railways and energy.
