The misdemeanor proceedings against MCP

The Inspector General for Cultural Property submitted to a regional authority for infringements in Danilovgrad request for initiating criminal proceedings against the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral of the Serbian Orthodox Church, (MCP) as it continued to work at the Ostrog monastery without proper conservation project, the Department of Inspections announced.

The request for initiating criminal proceedings was filed against Metropolitan bishop Amfilohije Radovic, as the responsible person in the legal entity because he failed to perform mandatory supervision and thus allowed such activities of MCP.

” On May 4, the inspector found that in Upper monastery of Ostrog, the Metropolitanate has not complied with the decision from March 23 , by which it is prohibited the reconstruction and adaptation of the cultural property of Ostrog monastery without proper conservation project.”,it is said in a statement from the Department .
