The Government expects that its partner in the Electric Power Industry (EPCG), Italian company A2A, would sent some kind of proposal of possible cooperation next week, said Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazovic.
He reiterated that if no agreement is reached with A2A, Government itself would start construction of second block of the Thermal Power Plant Pljevlja, not because of spite but because of the significance of this project for the energy stability of the country.
Answering the question of whether there is any news related to cooperation with A2A, Lazovic said that in recent days there is some sort of communication with them, of mild intensity.
„Our and the interest of the state of Montenegro is to work on the construction of new energy facilities and that any kind of cooperation in the coming period, which would imply the management contract, at the same time implies a common agreement on the construction of TEP “said Lazovic to reporters after the conference on the occasion of the Safer Internet Day.
Asked when should construction of the highway Bar-Boljari start, Lazovic said that the Government gave approval for preparatory work.
“The Chinese company intensively works in the area of project documentation and I in my opinion in the next few months, we will have all conditions created for the beginning of work,” said Lazovic.
He said that if we already waited so far, it would be quite risky to start work as soon as possible and in thus way skip some things that in projects of this nature are extremely important and serious.
“What we have so far been the biggest problem – all prerequisites for the realization of the project were created and now we expect the operational finalization,” said Lazovic.
