In expectation of the Progress Report of the European Commission (EC), Montenegro has done much to meet the obligations of the European agenda with an emphasis on those in chapters 23 and 24, said Deputy Prime Minister Dusko Markovic at the fifth session of the Rule of Law Council.
“A number of important laws had been adopted and relevant institutions have been formed or are in the course of their formation,” Markovic said.
He added that this year is crucial for chapters 23 and 24 but also for the continuation of the negotiation process.
“The most important obligations that awaits us is an intensive work on meeting temporary standards in those chapters,” Markovic said.
Main negotiator, Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic, said that despite the fact a lot had been done, Montenegro still needed to work more, in order to continue the good dynamics of meeting European criteria
