Despite reports that the work on the reconstruction of the highway Podgorica-Budva could be finished on June 1, it seems that jams on the road to Budva could be avoided only after 20 June, when all construction works will be completed.
Director of the Transport Directorate Savo Paraca said for ‘’Dnevne novine’’ that the works on the section of the road M-2 from Cetinje to Budva are underway on three sections and will be completed in the period from 10 to 20 June 2016.
“The reconstruction project at the site Obzovica-Brajici, four kilometers in length, is scheduled for completion by 10 June. The project of construction of the third lane, locality Markovici, 4.5 kilometers long, will be completed by 15 June, while the completion of the project of connecting boulevard Budva and Becici with the reconstruction of the Cetinje intersection is scheduled for June 20,” explained Paraca.
Deadlines for construction at these locations are defined, according to the Paraca, by specified contracts.
The Government of Montenegro adopted a conclusion which sets up June 1 as the date to complete all the work on these projects in order not to interrupt tourist season. This, however, did not happened.
