Regardless of the fact that there is no officially announced session of the Presidency of DPS, CdM’s reporter recorded the leadership of the ruling party gathering in front of the old Govt building. According to available information, the head of the largest party in Montenegro and Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic is meeting with his party colleagues today to discuss the situation in which URA is leaving the government’s executive branch, and Demos is remaining.
Around 1 PM, Mr. Đukanović arrived at the –party meeting.
Members of DPS Presidency Dusko Markovic, Milutin Simovic, Daliborka Pejovic, Branimir Gvozdenovic, Slavoljub Stijepović and others arrived before him.
Their thoughts on the dissolution of power in the government could be known after today’s session, if DPS decides to address citizens in a press release.
When the composition of the executive power is concerned, the attitude of the SDP will definitely be known on August 22nd, when the party scheduled a session of the Central Committee.
According to unofficial information obtained by Dnevne Novine daily, the party of Ranko Krivokapic will remain in the government with Demos.
“Most likely, the decision will be the same. To stay. SDP and Demos jointly made the decision to join the government and so far, have had joint moves. So it is expected they will adopt similar decisions in the future, even in this matter. Also, most of municipal boards of SDP and Demos work together in the field, especially when it comes to combing through voter lists. A significant confidence has been established between these two entities”, said a senior SDP official who did not want his name mentioned.
