Montenegro will be among the countries that will not significantly feel the effects of the Greek crisis, but its indirect effects can not be excluded, it was announced from the Central Bank (CBM).
Representatives of the CBM also said that domestic and international analysis shows that Montenegro will not significantly feel the effects of the Greek crisis, and that almost there will be no direct effect, because the Montenegrin banking system is not connected to the Greek.
“Exports of Montenegro in Greece is insignificant and last year amounted to only 295 thousand euros, which is less than one per thousand of the total. Greece last year invested 234,000 euros in Montenegro, which is also less than one per thousand of net foreign direct investment (FDI), ” it is said in the CBM statement.
CBM representatives have said that they can not exclude indirect effects of the crisis, which can manifest itself in a negative impact on some of the partners of Montenegro from the EU and the region, which are more closely associated with Greece, and their spillover through external relations with these countries .
