The former mayor of Bar Zarko Pavicevic was arrested this morning in Bar on the orders of the Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic, Prosecutor’s Office announced.
As stated in the Prosecutor’s Office, Pavicevic is suspected to have committed continued criminal offense of abuse of power.
Danijela Krkovic, former director of the Institute for the construction of Bar was also arrested upon Katnic’s order. She is suspected of having committed an extended criminal offense of abuse of official position by aiding and for the criminal offence of falsification of official documents.
Pavicevic is the third mayor in Montenegro who was arrested. Two mayors of Budva were arrested before him, Rajko Kuljaca first, and then Lazar Radjenovic, both on suspicion of abuse of power.
