Old Bar is the largest urban agglomeration in the ruins in Montenegro. He has a turbulent history and medieval civilizations. It is about 4 km. today’s Bar. Situated on a large rock on three sides protected by cliffs along the west side of the city ramparts are the remains of 240 buildings in ruins, with narrow winding streets and irregular squares. The buildings are built of hewn stone, on one or more floors. Several facilities such as bath, a powder magazine, the Clock Tower built in the Ottoman era, as well as the aqueduct, which is the Old Bar with drinking water. the city is also a few remnants of sacred buildings from the Middle Ages, the Church of Sv. Theodore ( later St.. George), St.. Nicholas ( later St.. Marka ), St.. Venerande and St.. Catherine. Position Old Bar provides an opportunity for visitors to see from the old ramparts of the panorama of green fields Bar, a new part of the city, harbor, open sea and the mountain massif of Rumija. A special attraction is the Old Bar Piazza where sellers dressed in traditional costumes offer customers local products such as citrus fruits, olives, olive oil from Bar, cheese and a variety of local handicrafts.
